Thomas "Tom" McClain Obituary

           Thomas “Tom” McClain, 80, of Milan, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Woodland Hills Care Center in Lawrenceburg. He was born on Friday, December 20, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Raymond McClain and Thyra (Riede) McClain. Tom went on to marry Christine Anderson on Wednesday, January 2, 1963. They recently celebrated their 58th year of marriage together. He spent many years working for Bodycote in Cincinnati where he eventually retired from.

         In his free time, Tom was an avid gardener. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, time with his family, bowling, and playing horseshoes. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Milan post #235.

       Tom will be deeply missed by his wife, Christine McClain of Milan; sons Scott McClain of Bridgetown, Ohio, Jay (Linne) McClain of Harrison, Ohio, Joe McClain of Mount Healthy, Ohio, and Brian McClain of Milan; daughter Lisa Plummer (Bill) of Cincinnati; brothers Ray (Joyce) McClain of Hamilton, Ohio and Jerry (Karen) McClain of Delhi, Ohio; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

     Tom was preceded in death by his parents.

     A celebration of life service will be held by the family on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Milan American Legion, 318 W. Indian Trail (Hwy 350), Milan, Indiana 47031. Memorials may be given in honor of Tom to the Sons of the American Legion.
